Hand Rankings in Poker

Royal Flush:

Straight Flush:
A Straight Flush is a hand that has five cards of the same suit, in sequential order. If multiple players have a straight flush, the player with the highest sequence wins. For example, a King high straight flush is ranked higher than a Queen high straight flush. The only difference between a straight flush and a royal flush is the presence of an Ace.
Four of a Kind:
A Four of a Kind hand consists of four cards of the same rank/value. If multiple players have a four of a kind, the highest value of the four cards determines the winner. If multiple players have the same four of a kind, the fifth card (also known as the kicker) decides the winner.
Full House:
A Full House is a hand that has three cards of the same rank, and a pair of cards of another rank. The strength of a full house is determined by the value of the three matching cards. If multiple players have a full house with the same three cards, the value of the pair determines the winner.
Flush:
A Flush occurs when a player has five cards of the same suit, in any order. If multiple players have a flush, the player with the highest ranked card wins. If the players have the same highest card, the value of the next cards in the sequence is compared to determine the winner.
Straight:
A Straight is a hand that has five cards in sequential order, regardless of the suit. In the event of a tie, the highest ranking card determines the winner. It’s worth noting that an Ace can be used as the low card for a straight of A, 2, 3, 4, 5.
Three of a Kind:
A Three of a Kind hand consists of three cards of the same rank, along with two unrelated cards.
Two Pair:
A Two Pair hand has two cards of the same rank, along with another two cards of a different rank, and an additional card. If two players have a two pair, the higher ranking pair wins. If the highest pair is also the same, the second pair determines the winner.
One Pair:
One Pair is a hand that has two cards of the same rank, along with three additional unrelated cards. The value of the pair determines the winner in the case of a tie. If two players have the same pair, the value of the highest additional card is compared to determine the winner.
High Card:
When a hand does not fall into any of the previous categories, it is called a high card. In this case, the hand is evaluated based on the value of the highest-ranked card among the five. If multiple players have the same highest card, the value of the sequence is considered.
